China Licensing Awards return for second year

New categories confirmed while Licensing Expo China also introduces new show zones.

The China Licensing Awards will be returning for a second year in July, Licensing Expo China has confirmed, with new categories being introduced.

The event will take place on July 25 during Licensing Expo China – which runs from July 25-27 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.

This year, four new awards have been added to the line-up:  Museum/Gallery/Art Property of the Year, Licensed Product of the Year – Softlines, Licensed Product of the Year – Hardlines and Young Property of the Year.

The 2017 China Licensing Awards winners included Super Wings, Angry Birds, Paul Frank, Barbie, Peppa Pig, SpongeBob, PAW Patrol, Doraemon and Thomas and Friends. You can read The Source’s story by clicking on this link.

Meanwhile, Licensing Expo China has confirmed the show floor will be split into three zones this year – Film, Television and Entertainment, Museum, Culture and Art, plus a Gaming Zone.

In addition, it will also debut the Matchmaking Service which has been such a hit at both Licensing Expo and Brand Licensing Europe.
