Hasbro has teamed up with the Natural History Museum to release a new line of clothing and merchandise inspired by Peppa Pig – exclusive to F&F at Tesco in the UK.
Inspired by Peppa’s ethos of encouraging children to jump in together and explore the world around them, each item in the collection features Peppa and her brother George in a science or nature design – from pointing out buzzing bees and butterflies to riding on larger-than-life dinosaurs and floating among the stars, planets and meteors in outer space.
Peppa-branded socks for preschoolers and an exclusive new plush toy will also be available as part of the range.
“As we celebrate Hasbro’s 100th anniversary this year and lead into Peppa Pig’s 20th in 2024, we want to bring our littlest fans in on the fun with collaborations that foster creativity, adventure and a love of learning,” commented Marianne James, vp EMEA and Asia, licensed consumer products at Hasbro. “By bringing two award-winning and powerful brands together for this adorable collection at a British retailer, we’ve created something truly special for everyone’s favourite pig in her home market.”
Maxine Lister, head of licensing at the Natural History Museum, continued: “We are excited to work with Peppa Pig, a brand that sparks such curiosity in children everywhere. Our mission is to create advocates for the planet and to inspire a love of nature, across all ages.
“This colourful new collection is perfect for kids who love to learn about our natural world – and who just might be the next generation of scientists dedicated to protecting our planet.”
The collaboration comes on the heels of a co-branded experience in which Hasbro and the Natural History Museum transformed one of the Museum’s shops into Peppa Pig’s Discovery Playroom. Open until 10 September, families can visit the space to discover why dinosaurs are George’s favourite animals, learn about Peppa’s love for the planet, enjoy story time with Peppa, get creative with themed colouring and activity sheets and more.
Natalie Ackerman, senior licensing manager at F&F Tesco, offered: “We are really looking forward to launching this very special exclusive collaboration bringing two exciting brands together at Tesco. We have worked hard with our key partners Hasbro and Natural History Museum to bring to life a range of sustainable clothing using characters that our customers love.
“We are passionate about bringing our licenses to life and have developed a product range that educates our customers through factual graphics and assets as well as incorporating into our branding. We look forward to seeing our exciting launch plans come to life in September.”
