Fashion retailer H&M has once again showed its commitment to licensing, revealing a new kidswear capsule inspired by Harry Potter.
It has been over 20 years since Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was published, and H&M has looked to the successful film series for inspiration on the capsule.
The collection includes a range of children’s clothing and accessories – from newborns to young teens – with fun graphics and playful embellishments.
Items include tops, sweatshirts, hoodies, jeans, trousers, joggers, dresses, bodies for babies and accessories such as scarves, hats, socks and scrunchies.
Along with the varsity-style Hogwarts school logos, H&M has also used graphic prints of Harry’s snowy owl Hedwig and illustrations of the different Hogwarts houses, along with school stripes.
“We’re absolutely thrilled about this Harry Potter collection – the magic of the stories is truly universal and continues to inspire so many kids (and adults) today,” commented Sofia Löfstedt, head of design kidswear at H&M. “Revolving around Hogwarts, we wanted to convey with this collection the joy and excitement of the Wizarding World and also add fun touches such as some athletic-style graphics, illustrations of Hedwig the owl and gold embellishments. Created for Harry Potter fans all over the world, this collection will certainly delight.”
