Penguin Random House UK Children’s has made two new appointments to its Ladybird licensing publishing team.
Lou Grosart – previously senior commissioning editor at Egmont Publishing – has been appointed to cover publisher, Leanne Gill’s maternity leave.
Lou (pictured left) begins this week as editorial director, Ladybird Licensing. She will head up Ladybird’s Peppa Pig publishing list, as well as leading on new licensing acquisitions for 0-7s, reporting to Ladybird publishing director, Shannon Cullen.
In addition, Ned Hartley is now on board as commissioning editor. Ned (pictured right) was previously outsourcing editor at Egmont Publishing and will look after Ladybird’s Nickelodeon publishing, as well as several upcoming launches.
Shannon commented: “I’m delighted to have Louise Grosart and Ned Hartley joining the Ladybird licensing team. We already have some exciting new brands to announce over the coming months and I can’t wait to see what Lou and Ned acquire.”
