TGI Fridays chills out with Iceland thanks to Beanstalk

American bar and grill makes move into UK frozen food retailer following DTR.

TGI Fridays – the iconic American bar and grill – is making the move into the aisles of frozen food retailer, Iceland, following a new DTR deal brokered by Beanstalk.

The range includes some of TGI Fridays’ best selling restaurant items – there are more than 80 TGI restaurants in the UK – and is available from more than 900 Iceland stores in the UK.

Products include the likes of Jalapeño Cheese Bites, Boneless Hot Wings, Cajun Prawns, Mozzarella Sticks, Cajun Spiced Onion Rings, Loaded Bacon and Cheese Skins, Warrior Fries with Bacon, Chili Beef Fries, Fridays Wings and Fridays BBQ Ribs. Signature TGI Fridays desserts will also be available including the New York Cheesecake and Brownie Obsession.

The new range complements the existing TGI Fridays licensing programme which includes meats and cocktail kits.

“We are thrilled to further extend the range of delicious and much-loved Friday’s menu items for consumers across the UK to enjoy at home,” said Louise French, svp business development and operations at Beanstalk. “The new frozen delights from TGI Fridays are a great way to bring the famous American grill into your home and celebrate that Fridays feeling.”

Iceland has enjoyed success with previous licensed DTRs including with Slimming World (2019) and Pizza Express (2016).
