Danilo’s Dan Grant talks new product launches and keeping an eye on Brexit.
Now that we’re almost half way through 2019, Source catches up with a selection of licensees to find out how the year has been so far, the main challenges and big successes and what hopes they have for the remainder of the year.
Today: Laura Bull, marketing manager, Posh Paws
“The start to the year was so busy and hasn’t slowed down at all. The retail environment still remains a cautious one, with consumers and retailers both keeping one eye on the Brexit situation. So it’s really a case of proven licences holding their place on the shop shelf, with retailers being more risk averse when it comes to new license opportunities. Licences such as PAW Patrol and L.O.L. Surprise are still leading the way.
It will be interesting to see what happens through the rest of 2019 with Brexit, a very strong movie slate and a changing media landscape all ready to have a major influence on proceedings.
Danilo remains positive that there are new opportunities out there, and we have lots of new and exciting product launches taking place this year to try and maximise this.”
