eOne rewards Peppa Pig licensees

Partner event also saw Hannah Mungo, head of UK licensing, receiving an emotional send off.

It was a full house at yesterday’s Peppa Pig Partners Event at BAFTA in London’s Piccadilly.

Over 230 licensees filled the auditorium to hear the significant developments in place for next year, including (as announced by The Source yesterday), how Peppa Pig has been selected as one of the books for World Book Day.

At the end of the presentations, was the annual Peppa Pig Licensee Awards.

Things kicked off with the Range of the Year, which was presented to Hacche Retail; Blues received the trophy for Most Collaborative Licensee; new Peppa Pig licensee Illuminated Canvas was recognised with the Best Newcomer award; the Longstanding Achievement award was presented to loyal master toy licensee Character Options, while Rainbow Productions received the Outstanding Contribution to the Peppa Brand.

Ending the awards on a humorous note, Trends UK won the Longest Working Lunch and testament to the team’s stamina, Roy Lowe & Sons was presented with the 4am Award.

Adding a personal poignancy to the event, it marked the end of a chapter for the highly popular Hannah Mungo, eOne’s UK head of licensing who, after ten happy years, is leaving to join Universal’s licensing team.

Paying a fitting tribute to his colleague, Andrew Carley, eOne’s head of global licensing highlighted how Hannah personifies the team’s cornerstones of “respect, humility, dignity and morality”.

He went on: “You will be sorely missed, but you have left a strong legacy. You are an inspiration to so many”. Hannah was then presented with her own Outstanding Achievement award and a book full of messages from colleagues and licensees.

You can get a feel for just how busy the event was by checking out this 360 degree photo, taken by one of the creators of Peppa Pig, Neville Astley.
