Brands enjoying bumper activity at Toys R Us

Easter holiday activity includes licences such as Trolls, Care Bears, Thomas & Friends.

Toys R Us has been hosting a bumper period of activity across the Easter holidays involving a wide variety of licensed characters.

The retailer has welcomed the likes of Trolls to Thomas the Tank Engine to a number of its stores across the break, with activity continuing until the end of this week in some cases.

Nickelodeon’s Shimmer and Shine appeared at a number of outlets to help promote the new toy range, while eOne’s Ben and Holly will conclude a run of appearances this week in Swansea. A special offer has also been running on Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom toys in-store.

Activity running this week includes appearances from Cheer Bear from the Care Bears in Leicester and Coventry, as well as The Fat Controller from Thomas & Friends in Thurrock and the new Leicester Highcross Centre store.

There is also the chance to take part in special Trolls karaoke in the Leeds, Derby and Swansea stores.

Shopkins Swapshops continue on April 22, while activity has also been running with Barbie and Fast and Furious 8 – the latter giving fans the chance to get into the director’s chair with the Mattel Movie Maker tour.
