Taylor Swift, Barbie, Stitch, Doctor Who line up in Danilo’s top calendars for 2024

Danilo has unveiled its top selling calendars for 2024, with Taylor Swift, Liverpool, Manchester United, Cliff Richard and Barbie all making an impact.

Taylor Swift has stormed the charts with a new entry taking her straight to the top of Danilo Promotions’ official licensed calendars list. Having shaken off the competition, the singer is in at number one for both the overall bestselling 2024 calendars based on Christmas sales, as well as the music chart – as Danilo notched up three million sales.

Three football teams also make the list, with England’s Lionesses in eighth place behind the Liverpool and Manchester United at second and third respectively.

As Sir Cliff Richard celebrates 65 years in the music business, there are also plenty of congratulations as his calendar is still ever present in the top 10 at number four, while Barbie is in the pink and moving into the real world at number four as the calendar sales reinforce the film’s position as the highest-grossing movie yet.

Stitch follows closely in sixth spot ahead of the expected release of the new live-action movie in 2024, in Disney’s 100th anniversary year, while the 60th birthday for Doctor Who saw the return of David Tennant and Catherine Tate to TV screens in November and in at number seven.

Minecraft is back in at number nine after dropping out of the top 10 in 2023, and Kelly Brook makes a welcome return to the chart at number 10.

Oldies were still the goldies in the music calendar chart which features Sir Cliff Richard in his 65th anniversary in the business, The Rolling Stones whose Hackney Diamonds album is their first new one in 18 years, and Bon Jovi celebrating the band’s 40th anniversary, along with Elvis, The Beatles and Queen.

Daniel Prince, md at the licensee, said there’s a Danilo calendar in around 25% of UK households and explained: “A physical wall calendar is an important part of family life, whether in the kitchen, hallway or children’s bedroom, to share key dates and events for all the family as well as individual members.

“Despite us all having our own calendars on our phones these days, there remains a place for a wall calendar to keep track of family movements in a busy household.

“And there’s an official licensed calendar for every interest and taste, which makes the perfect Christmas gift that lasts all year round – for around only £10!”
