Heinz bolsters character pasta line-up

Peppa Pig, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Minions and DC Super Friends included in new range.

Kraft Heinz has boosted its licensed character offering, with the introduction of new dry pasta shapes and tomato sauces featuring four key children’s brands.

Peppa Pig, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, DC Super Friends and Minions all feature on the new lines.

The four varieties of 50% wholewheat pasta shapes launch this month, three of which are matched with sauces.

Heinz brand manager, Brook Aspden, said that the new launch was expected to deliver “significant incremental growth to the category”.

Brook continued: Dry pasta is universally loved and eaten by 80.5% of the population, and presents a huge opportunity for retailers.”
